One's Observations

A collection of some things I observe along the way.

Retrieving...

The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the President.” - former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt (D-Missouri) in response to President George H. W. Bush speaking to students from Deal Junior High School in Washington, D.C. in 1991. (Red State Posting)

So now where is the opposition from the democrats? Hmmm....

Now you're just the pot calling the kettle black!

The inconsistencies in Washington come from both sides, and that's not new to this administration.

It's very disappointing...you seem to be very passionate about these issues and you seem to be able to track down quite a lot of information. It's just too bad that it's all one-sided. And your limited scope, your tunnel vision, unfortunately detracts from your credibility. You take an issue, reduce it to a sound byte and try to convince us that we should be afraid. And when fear enters the debate, all logic and rational thinking goes out the window.

When people start by looking for the evil, when they close their minds, when they forget that there are others (and other ways of doing things) in this world, they look less like those who are genuinely concerned for the welfare of our country and more like those on a modern-day witch hunt.

It's kind of hard to be a good "watchdog" if you're only watching one door.

I totally agree inconsistencies in Washington come from both sides. That is my point with this post.

I for one disagreed with Bush regarding the Patriot Act, lack of border security, compromising free market values with the bail out last fall...to name a few.

It's not just about a party, it's about any ruling administration that takes us further from the Constitution. If there is any one door I hope to guard it is the door leading to the destruction of the Constitution. This is where our freedoms and liberties live; this is not about guarding for or against a party for party's sake.

If We The People do not stand up and make our voice heard and stay informed to the truth of what is taking place, in any administration, we will lose our Republic.

"No people will tamely surrender their liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and virtue is preserved. On the contrary, when people are universally ignorant, and debauched in their manners, they will sink under their own weight without the aid of foreign Invaders." --Samuel Adams, 1775
